Khaberni - In the framework of Arab Amman University’s dedication to enhance the applied aspect and to link theoretical knowledge with practical field experience, the College of Educational and Psychological Sciences / Department of Psychological and Educational Counseling organized a field training symposium titled: "Field Imprint (3)" for the students of the field training course in counseling, attended by Dr. Wafaa Al-Eid, Dean of the College of Educational and Psychological Sciences, and supervised by Dr. Rand Arabiyat, Head of the Psychological and Educational Counseling Department and instructor of the field training course at the college.
Dr. Al-Eid emphasized during the opening of the symposium the importance of holding such quality events which serve as an effective platform to support students academically and professionally, and contribute to enhancing their field experiences through the exchange of practical experiences and discussing the challenges they faced during the training period. She clarified that linking academic knowledge with practical application is a fundamental pillar in the modern educational process, due to its central role in preparing students for the professional life, polishing their practical and guidance skills, developing their abilities to think critically and work as a team in line with labor market requirements, and enhancing their readiness to engage in various work environments with efficiency and competence.
Dr. Arabiyat pointed out that the attendance of Dr. Al-Eid had a positive impact on the students, as it contributed to motivating them and appreciating their efforts, enhancing their sense of the value of the achievements they made during their field training period. She explained that organizing this symposium as a concluding station within the series of field imprints that the department is keen to implement aims to highlight the students' achievements, and provide them a venue to present and share their inspiring counseling experiences that were applied in the field, thus enhancing the exchange of experiences and enriching the practical aspect of the course.
The symposium featured various presentations by the course students, during which they discussed their field achievements by showcasing the successes achieved and the challenges faced by the students, along with presenting innovative solutions that embody their practical experiences. The symposium witnessed a distinctive attendance and interaction from the faculty members of the College of Educational and Psychological Sciences at Arab Amman University, who expressed their admiration for the level of preparation and execution presented by the students, and provided their contributions that enriched the discussions in addition to valuable guidance aimed at enhancing the field experiences and developing the students’ skills.
At the end of the events, Dr. Al-Eid honored the participating students by presenting them with certificates of thanks and appreciation for their active participation and outstanding efforts. Dr. Arabiyat appreciated the serious efforts made by the students, their high commitment, and dedication throughout the field training period, praising the advanced level they had reached, and the tangible developments in their practical skills and rise in their ethical and professional awareness, which contributed to building their professional personalities and enhancing their readiness to engage in the counseling field with high efficiency and professionalism.
These events are part of the vision of the College of Educational and Psychological Sciences and the Department of Psychological and Educational Counseling at Arab Amman University, reaffirming the effective role played by the students, and highlighting the distinction of the Psychological and Educational Counseling specialization as a practical, applied field that enables its graduates to play an influential and active role in the educational field and achieve professional success in their career path.
