Khaberni – Launched in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, the Jordanian-Saudi Business Network during an economic ceremony attended by a large number of executives, business owners, and Jordanian investors in Riyadh and Amman, initiated by the Amman Chamber of Commerce in cooperation with the Jordanian Embassy in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
According to a statement by the chamber today, the chairman of Amman Chamber of Commerce, Khalil Haj Tawfiq, stated that the Jordanian-Saudi Business Network represents a qualitative shift in managing economic relations between the two countries through networking among compatriots in the business sector in Amman and Riyadh.
During the ceremony attended by the Jordanian ambassador in Riyadh, Dr. Haitham Abu Al-Foul, and the chamber’s vice presidents Nabil Al Khatib, Bahjat Hamdan, and the secretary-general of the Amman Chamber of Commerce's board, Mohammad Tahboub, and board member Falah As-Sagheer, he said that the network was a response to a real need within the private sectors of Jordan and Saudi to establish a permanent framework that facilitates direct networking among companies and executives, provides accurate information about legislation, incentives, and investment opportunities, supports marketing Jordanian products and services in the Saudi market, and enhances integration of supply chains and data-driven investment decision-making.
Haj Tawfiq added that the focus in the first phase on sectors of food, construction, consultancy services, information technology, tourism, and logistics reflects a realistic understanding of the market demand in Saudi, and Jordan's competitive advantages in these sectors, emphasizing that the working mechanisms agreed upon – including sectoral committees, an electronic platform, regular meetings, an annual forum, and a business bulletin – form a cohesive operational structure, not merely a theoretical framework.
Haj Tawfiq explained that the Amman Chamber of Commerce especially values the role of Jordanian talents invested and working in Saudi Arabia, considering them a strategic national asset, stressing that creating a national database for these talents, providing a direct contact point inside the chamber, and connecting them with opportunities and tenders are fundamental aspects of the network's activity in the next phase.
He stated that the current visit by the Jordanian business delegation to Riyadh aims to directly listen to the challenges of business owners, identify actionable opportunities, agree on a clear institutional roadmap with a timeline, and move from general discussions to practical work programs and measurable projects.
Haj Tawfiq concluded by emphasizing that the Amman Chamber of Commerce aims through this initiative to also involve Jordanian businessmen and women in Riyadh in achieving the goals of the economic modernization vision and building an advanced Jordanian-Saudi economic cooperation model based on production, investment, and knowledge transfer, directly contributing to supporting the national economy.
Meanwhile, the Jordanian ambassador in Riyadh, Dr. Haitham Abu Al-Foul, confirmed that launching the Jordanian-Saudi Business Network is an important and qualitative step to enhance institutional communication between the business communities in the two brotherly countries, noting that this initiative, sponsored by the Amman Chamber of Commerce, aims to expand the economic and trade partnership horizons and take advantage of promising investment opportunities, in line with the deep brotherly and historical relations between the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The ambassador added that the Jordanian-Saudi relations are based on solid foundations of mutual respect and joint cooperation, enjoying continuous support and guidance from the leadership of the two brotherly countries, pointing out that the Jordanian-Saudi Business Network represents a practical platform to enhance the role of Jordanian talents residing in Saudi Arabia, and make use of their extensive experiences and active presence in various economic sectors, contributing to stimulating joint investments and building sustainable partnerships.
The ambassador further highlighted the commitment of the Jordanian embassy in Riyadh to support this initiative and back the efforts aimed at strengthening economic cooperation and increasing the volume of trade between the two countries, expressing confidence that this network will launch joint projects adding significant value, and achieving tangible results that enhance economic growth and serve the shared interests of Jordan and Saudi Arabia.
In turn, the secretary-general of the Amman Chamber of Commerce board, Mohammad Tahboub, outlined the practical vision of the Jordanian-Saudi Business Network and its working mechanisms, explaining that the network will operate as a flexible institutional platform aimed at organizing communication among businessmen, providing a specialized economic database, facilitating the exchange of investment opportunities, and linking companies in the two countries within shared value chains.
Tahboub provided a detailed explanation of the digital platform of the Jordanian-Saudi Business Network, officially launched during the ceremony, noting it includes comprehensive information about priority sectors, available investment opportunities, regulating legislations, and the investment environment in the two countries, in addition to advanced tools for direct networking between investors and companies, which contributes to accelerating the transformation of ideas into tangible, executable projects.
He confirmed that the next phase will witness the formation of specialized sectoral committees, the organization of regular meetings and business forums, and the follow-up on the implementation of joint initiatives in cooperation with official and private entities in the two countries, ensuring the sustainability of the network's work and achieving tangible results on the ground.
Participants at the ceremony emphasized that launching the network comes at an important time in the region, marked by the growing importance of productive investment, digital economy, and regional supply chains, confirming that Jordan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia possess significant complementary potentials capable of building an advanced model in Arab economic cooperation.
At the meeting's conclusion, an agreement was reached to form specialized sectoral committees within the Jordanian-Saudi Business Network, including sectors of real estate and construction, information technology and innovation, entrepreneurship, the food sector, tourism and medical tourism, logistical services and transportation, energy, financial consulting, insurance and legal services, in addition to advertising and marketing and organizing direct bilateral meetings between businessmen and women, aimed at exploring partnership opportunities and investment, and building joint projects that enhance economic integration and transform the business network into a practical platform for sustainable cooperation between the two sides.
