Khaberni - The total number of hospitality accommodation establishments in Jordan is 933, according to official data issued by the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, which “Al-Mamlaka” reviewed.
The data shows that these establishments employ 22,900 workers, of which 12.4% are females and 87.6% are males, mostly Jordanians where the percentage of non-Jordanians reached 16%. The total number of workers in the tourism sector amounts to 59,775.
According to the data, these establishments include 68,276 beds while there are 36,667 rooms.
The ministry indicated that the data related to hotel accommodation is updated until September 2025, while room and bed occupancy data is updated until January 2026.
Regarding the hotel room occupancy rate, the average room occupancy rate last year was 31.5%, while the bed occupancy rate was 32.1%.
According to the ministry, a hospitality establishment is defined as facilities that provide accommodation services to visitors (hotels, hotel apartments, hotel suites, campsites, lodges, guest houses, etc.), while tourism establishments are defined as facilities that provide services to visitors such as hotels, restaurants, tour and travel offices, shops, etc.
