Earlier, U.S. President Donald Trump posted images depicting Canada, Greenland, and Venezuela colored with the American flag, according to the Russian agency "Sputnik".
In the first image published on the social media platform Truth Social, Trump is shown in his White House office displaying a map of Venezuela, Canada, and Greenland to UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, Italian Prime Minister Georgia Meloni, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, French President Emmanuel Macron, Finnish President Alexander Stubb, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte.
In the second image, Trump is seen planting the American flag in Greenland alongside U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and Vice President J.D. Vance. A nearby sign indicates that Greenland became "American soil" in 2026.
Earlier, Trump commented that Canada should become the fifty-first U.S. state; because it is completely dependent on Washington.
