Jordan and Norway Affirm Depth of Bilateral Relations and Strengthening of Economic and Developmental Partnership

Khaberni - Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Affairs, Ayman Safadi, met on Tuesday with the Norwegian Minister of International Development, Asmund Okrust, and discussed ways to enhance relations and cooperation between the two kingdoms, and to expand cooperation across various fields.

Safadi and Okrust confirmed during the meeting the depth of the bilateral relations that unite the two kingdoms, and their keenness to continue joint work to develop them and build on the existing partnership in economic and developmental fields, in addition to enhancing coordination on issues of mutual interest at both the regional and international levels.

Safadi appreciated Norway's support for Jordan and its pivotal role in helping meet the needs of refugees and its support for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA). Norway had announced support for UNRWA valued at 27 million dollars for the years 2026 - 2027.
