Google Photos Adds New Feature for Users

Khaberni - In a step aimed at enhancing the user experience, Google is preparing to add new features to the Google Photos app, one of the most notable being the control over the speed of video playback.

An analysis of the new update has shown that Google is working on introducing a range of long-awaited enhancements, particularly the feature to adjust video playback speed, which users have long requested.

This feature is expected to appear soon in a beta version of the app before being officially launched for all users, reflecting Google's ongoing commitment to developing tools that allow users greater control over their digital content.

Video Speed
When the video playback speed adjustment feature is activated, a "Playback speed" option will appear in the three-dot menu at the top right of the screen. Upon clicking it, the user will see several speed options ranging from x0.25, x0.5, x1, x1.5, to x2.

According to sources, this feature is similar to those currently available on platforms like YouTube, and allows the user to speed up or slow down the video as needed without having to exit to external applications.

It should be noted that this feature is not yet available to regular users, and it is still unclear when it will be released in the official update, but indications suggest that it is being tested before a broader launch.

Improvement in Photo Display
In addition to the video speed adjustment feature, code analysis suggests there is a new option to hide photo dates in the Grid View display interface. This option allows users to view photos without date separators, thus offering a smoother and more fluid browsing experience.

The new feature appears as a toggle option in the display settings, but so far, it does not seem to be fully functional in the beta version analyzed. Nevertheless, Google is expected to work on enhancing this functionality before its release to the public.

Future Expectations
The unveiling of these modifications provides insight into Google's direction for enhancing the capabilities of Google Photos, indicating a greater focus on video editing and providing more powerful tools within the app itself, rather than relying on external applications for editing and playing visual content.

If the video playback speed adjustment feature is officially launched, it would be an important addition to the Google Photos app, making it not just a gallery for photos and videos, but a more effective tool for users who wish to have full control over their viewing and editing experience within the app.
