Al-Nawayseh stated that the second national strategy for media and information literacy (2026–2029) is based on enabling access to accurate information, and distinguishing between real and fake content, which contributes to building an aware society capable of active participation and informed public opinion formation.

He explained that the strategy enhances research, verification, and critical evaluation skills, and supports the responsible use of information across various digital platforms, thus reinforcing Jordan's regional leadership and reflecting its pride in this national achievement.

He pointed to the strategy's vision "A Jordanian society that possesses advanced digital and media skills, engages responsibly with media and information, and contributes to enhancing social cohesion and trust in institutions, consistent with the principles of inclusivity, equality, and respect for diversity."

He mentioned that the strategy focuses on expanding opportunities for access to information and conscious digital participation, which enhances social inclusion and empowerment.

He added that this strategy cements conscious citizenship that supports community, political, and economic participation, strengthens trust between the citizen and state institutions, and supports freedom of expression and human rights, enhances understanding of digital rights, combats misinformation and hate speech, and distinguishes between real and fabricated content.
