Khaberni - Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs Ayman Safadi and Tunisian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration, and Tunisians Abroad Mohamed Ali Nafti met on Tuesday to discuss ways to enhance fraternal relations and developments in the region.
Safadi and Nafti reaffirmed the deep historical fraternal relations between the Kingdom and the Tunisian Republic, which are becoming increasingly solid and evolving under the continuous mutual desire to strengthen and develop them in various fields, serving their common interests, and in accordance with the directions of the leaderships of the two countries.
They discussed ways to enhance bilateral cooperation in various vital sectors, including trade, investment, education, and tourism, and established practical steps and formed joint work teams to follow up on mechanisms to develop cooperation in these sectors and elevate them to broader levels.
The ministers signed a memorandum of understanding between the Jordanian Diplomatic Institute and the International Diplomatic Academy in Tunisia.
Safadi and Nafti also discussed regional and international developments, especially the situation in Gaza and the occupied West Bank, and the efforts being made to achieve security, stability, and just and comprehensive peace in the region.
The ministers agreed to maintain cooperation and coordination in enhancing bilateral relations, following up on the outcomes of the joint work teams, and issues of mutual interest.
