Khaberni – Citizens in several areas of southern Jordan reported feeling the effects of the trial explosions in the city of Aqaba today, Tuesday.
Residents in several southern areas said they felt something akin to an earthquake, while sources told Khaberni that this feeling was due to explosions resulting from a planned experiment by the company "Rafael" specialized in military defense systems.
The company had previously announced that it would conduct a test on Tuesday and Wednesday, January 21 and 22, 2025, from 6 AM to 5 PM, and it is expected to be accompanied by intermittent closures of movement paths on Route 12.
The company added that these activities will be monitored as part of the experiment, indicating that the sounds heard in the area are a result of pre-planned procedures.
