During the signing ceremony, Al-Kharabsheh emphasized that this step enhances the contribution of the mining sector to the national economy, supports investments, transfers expertise, and provides job opportunities within a comprehensive national program for the development and investment of mineral resources in the kingdom.

Al-Kharabsheh explained that the two memoranda are part of the government's direction to enhance the contribution of the mining sector to the national economy, expand the base of responsible investments, and stimulate partnerships with national and international companies of competence, contributing to the transfer of technical knowledge and providing job opportunities for Jordanians.

He added that the signing of the two new memoranda aligns with the priorities of sustainable development, alongside a number of memorandums of understanding previously signed by the ministry with local and foreign companies in the fields of gold, copper, rare earth elements, phosphate, and lithium, as part of an integrated program for the development and investment of mineral resources in the kingdom, noting that there are three agreements in the negotiation stage preparing to move to the implementation phase.
