Khaberni - Syrian Internal Security units executed, on Monday, a well-coordinated raid that led to the liberation of producer Mohammad Qabnض and securing his safety.
The concerned authorities reported that all necessary legal procedures were duly completed before the liberated citizen was handed over to his family.
The Syrian Interior Ministry released a video documenting the moment of the kidnapping victim’s liberation.
The Ministry had stated in a Facebook post: "From the moment of reporting the disappearance of citizen Mohammad Qabnض in the Damascus Countryside province, Internal Security units immediately commenced search and investigation operations, and took all necessary legal measures aimed at uncovering the circumstances of the case and pursuing the involved parties to bring them to justice."
It added: "During the course of the investigation, some instigators attempted to divert the case and accuse the Syrian state of disappearing him, which led to weakened cooperation and coordination with the specialized team tracking the case, making the mission difficult and delaying progress in the search and investigation."
It continued: "Thanks to the intensive efforts and constant follow-up, the Internal Security units managed to locate the citizen Mohammad Qabnض along with another kidnapped individual named Hamza Lahham, who had been kidnapped about a month earlier and was also being followed up by the criminal investigations department. Both were secured and protected properly, while the competent departments continued investigating and pursuing the remaining members of the cell behind this heinous crime."
It is noted that the kidnapping incident of Mohammad Qabnض, the producer of the famous series Bab Al-Hara, dates back to September 18, when unknown gunmen riding in two vehicles kidnapped him in front of his company's headquarters, after impersonating elements from the General Security and took him to an unknown location.
