Khaberni - American President Donald Trump said in recent statements that he "does not care about the Nobel Prize," while speaking to reporters before leaving Miami on Monday evening.
He stated, referring to Venezuelan opposition leader Maria Corina Machado, who presented Trump with a Nobel Peace Prize during her visit to the White House last week: "First and foremost, a wonderful woman felt that I deserved it, and she was very keen on me receiving the Nobel Prize. I appreciate that."
The American President continued: "If anyone thinks that Norway does not control the Nobel Prize, they are completely mistaken. They have a board, but it is under the control of Norway, and I don't care what Norway says, I really don't care about that. What I care about is saving lives."
While Machado had presented the Nobel Prize as a gift to the American President, the Nobel Peace Prize Committee announced that the prize is not sharable and cannot be transferred.
