Kim Jong Un fires Deputy Prime Minister and likens him to a goat tied to a cart

Khaberni - North Korean leader Kim Jong Un dismissed Deputy Prime Minister Yang Sung Ho from his position, attributing his decision to the latter's incompetence, which caused economic chaos and damage during the execution of state projects.

The Korean Central News Agency reported that the dismissal decision came during a ceremony marking the completion of the first phase of upgrading the "Ryongsong" mechanical industries complex.

In his speech at the ceremony, the North Korean leader said that the first phase of the update faced "unnecessary, artificial chaos caused by unprofessional, rude, and incompetent officials," which resulted in tangible economic damage.

He noted that some officials were not prepared to lead the process of organizing the industry and technically rehabilitating it on a national level, calling for "ceasing to rely on people who have long been accustomed to defeatism, irresponsibility, and negativity."

Following these words, Kim issued an immediate onsite decision to relieve Deputy Prime Minister Yang Sung Ho of his duties, comparing him to "a goat tied to a cart." However, the North Korean leader clarified that he does not regard the dismissed official's actions as "anti-party activities," but rather classified them as "an incidental mistake in cadre selection."

Kim Jong Un emphasized that the current reality of North Korea, which strives for wealth and prosperity, requires "true pioneers and fighters" whose actions bring the country closer to a bright future.

He called on all senior officials to adopt purposeful plans and scientific methodologies for building "a modern, advanced economy that ensures the state's future" during the current generation.

The Korean Central News Agency reported that the ceremony participants declared their full support for Kim Jong Un's speech. Afterward, Prime Minister Pak Thae Song cut the ribbon, signaling the completion of construction work, while the country's leader inspected the "Ryongsong" complex, praising the steps undertaken by the institution to strengthen the foundations of the independent economy.

Kim Jong Un added that the current phase, which sees the national economy experiencing stable growth and accelerated regional development policies, imposes the need to meet the rising demand for equipment and machinery, emphasizing the necessity of continuing scientific and technical research and enhancing work related to cadre training.

He also outlined the goals for the next phase of modernizing the complex and identified detailed tasks to elevate the mechanical industries sector to a more advanced level in the country.
