Khaberni  - Ali Alwan, striker of the Jordan national team, drove his team Al-Karma to achieve a precious victory over Mosul with a score of 3-1, in the match that occurred on Sunday, as part of the thirteenth round of the Iraqi Stars League.

This match was Ali Alwan's last with his team, as he is expected to join Al-Riyadh club next week to represent them in the Saudi Roshen League, after having agreed on all the details of the contract.

Saudi's Al-Riyadh club negotiated with Al-Karma to acquire Alwan's services, gaining approval in exchange for about half a million dollars.

With this precious victory over Mosul, Al-Karma team jumped to the second place with 26 points behind Erbil, the leader of the general standings of the Iraqi Stars League, with 30 points.

Ali Alwan and the fastest goal in the Iraqi League

Ali Alwan scored the lead goal for Al-Karma against Al Wasl, and this goal is considered the fastest goal in the Iraqi League, as he scored only 34 seconds after the start of the match, marking his fifth goal with his team in the current season.

Alwan received the ball on the edge of the penalty area before striking it powerfully into Mosul's net, announcing Al-Karma's lead with the opening goal. Alwan completed his last task with Al-Karma to his liking and to the satisfaction of his fans, after paving the way for his team's victory and advance toward the second position in the standings.

Alwan's stock rose after participating with the Jordan national team in the 2025 Arab Cup held in Qatar, where he led them to a second-place finish for the first time in Jordanian football history.

Alwan is one of the distinguished strikers, capable of playing as a central forward, behind the striker, or as a winger, and possesses a formidable physical build. He ended the Arab Cup 2025 as the top scorer with a total of 6 goals, becoming the first Jordanian to achieve this.

It is worth noting that Alwan, 25 years old, began his football career with Jordan's Al-Jazeera club and professional in Qatar with Al-Shamal and Al-Khor, and he had a successful professional season last year with Selangor club in Malaysia before deciding to turn professional with Al-Karma in Iraq.
