Khaberni - The Mafraq Major Municipality has decided to halt new building permits within the vicinity of valleys and dams, ensuring the safety of citizens.
Dr. Mohammed Al-Fayez, head of the municipality committee, stated in a press conference today, Monday, that the municipality faced significant difficulties during the recent weather depressions related to buildings within the vicinity of valleys and dams, which obstructed the work of emergency teams, indicating that a decision was issued by the Minister of Local Administration to halt such building permits in these areas.
He added that efforts are ongoing to address the critical spots identified during the recent weather depressions, to enhance public safety.
