Khaberni - The famous Italian fashion designer, Valentino Garavani, has died at the age of 93, according to the Italian news agency "ANSA", on Monday.
The prominent name in the world of haute couture passed away at his home in Rome, according to the agency, quoting the Valentino Garavani Foundation and his partner Giancarlo Giammetti.
Valentino Garavani was born according to what I read about him on Arabiya.net in Voghera, Lombardy, Italy, on May 11, 1932. He entered the world of fashion design at an early age, where he trained under his aunt Rosa and local designer Ernestina Salvadeo.
He then moved to Paris to continue his training at the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts with the help of his mother Teresa de Biaggi and his father Mauro Garavani. He received professional training by working in the salons of Jean Dessès, where he assisted in designing the dress for Countess Jacqueline de Ribes, and Guy Laroche. He launched his distinctive line in Rome in 1959.
