Approval of the Revised Improvement Plan for Jordans Performance in the Global Innovation Index

Khaberni - The Cabinet decided to approve the final version of the revised improvement plan for the Kingdom's performance in the Global Innovation Index issued by the World Intellectual Property Organization, and to circulate it to relevant bodies and institutions to start implementing the required actions according to their specialization.

The Global Innovation Index has been published annually since 2007 by the World Intellectual Property Organization, a United Nations agency, with the aim of defining metrics and methods that can capture as complete a picture as possible of innovation in society across 139 economies, and to track the latest global innovation trends.

This index is one of the impact indicators linked to the implementation program of the Economic Modernization Vision 2026 – 2029, which is monitored by the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship as part of its performance, and the preparation of a special improvement plan, where the ministry worked on analyzing the Kingdom's performance within the index, identifying necessary areas for updates on the improvement plan, and implementing them in cooperation with relevant national entities.
The index had issued its report for the year 2025 last September, which showed Jordan's progress from rank 73 globally in 2024 to rank 65.
