Syrian Army Complete curfew in AlShaddadi city

Khaberni - The Syrian army announced this evening, Monday, a complete curfew in the city of Al-Shaddadi and its surroundings, emphasizing the obligation to inform the deployed military units about any fleeing elements from the "ISIS" organization.

In its circular, the Syrian Arab Army's Operations Authority stated: "We announce a complete curfew in the city of Al-Shaddadi and its surroundings, and to inform the deployed military units about any fleeing elements from the ISIS organization".

The Operations Authority indicated that the "Syrian Democratic Forces" (SDF) "released several ISIS members from Al-Shaddadi prison," according to the circular.

The authority clarified that the Syrian army "will intervene to secure the prison and the city, and will begin sweeping operations in search of the elements who were released."

This comes shortly after the Operations Authority announced that army elements had entered the city of Al-Shaddadi in Hasakah countryside "after the SDF released ISIS elements from the prison".

It noted that "Al-Shaddadi prison and the security facilities in the city of Al-Shaddadi will be handed over to the Ministry of Interior immediately, after the completion of the security and sweeping operations."

In contrast, the SDF earlier in the day confirmed that "Al-Shaddadi prison is no longer under the control of its forces," pointing out that "despite the fact that Al-Shaddadi prison is only about two kilometers away from the international coalition base in the area, the base did not intervene despite repeated calls".

It mentioned that "since the morning hours of today, the prison, which houses thousands of prisoners from the ISIS terrorist organization, has been subjected to repeated attacks carried out by Damascus factions".

The SDF also pointed to clashes erupting in the vicinity of "Al-Aqtan" prison, which holds detainees from the "ISIS" organization, earlier today, while its crisis ended after an agreement with the Syrian army.
