Khaberni - The Government Media Office expressed its welcome to the Palestinian National Committee for the Management of the Gaza Strip, considering it a step in the context of addressing the administrative and service reality in the sector, in line with the priority of a complete halt to the ongoing aggression against our Palestinian people, ensuring the protection of civilians, and alleviating humanitarian suffering of our people.
It confirmed in a statement its full readiness to transfer the relevant authorities, and its complete preparedness for the handover and reception procedures, ensuring a smooth and organized transition in institutional work, preserving the rights of citizens and employees in the public sector, and ensuring the continuity of services without interruption.
It also affirmed that government and service operations will continue regularly, and that the relevant institutions and departments continue to perform their duties in providing basic services to the Palestinian people, under the current exceptional circumstances, taking into account the available capabilities and the magnitude of the existing challenges.
It added: "We also confirm that employees in various sectors are fully ready to fully cooperate with the Palestinian National Committee for the Management of the Gaza Strip, in a way that serves the public interest, contributes to improving the level of services provided to citizens, and enhances administrative and institutional stability."
It continued: "In this context, we affirm the inherent right of our Palestinian people to reconstruction, and the necessity for this process to be done in a way that preserves national rights and Palestinian sovereignty, and enables our people to restore the elements of a decent life."
It reiterated the right of the Palestinian people to self-determination, leading to the establishment of their independent Palestinian state with full sovereignty, and its capital in East Jerusalem.
It emphasized the unity of Palestinian territory and the political geography between the West Bank and Gaza Strip, asserting the rejection of any arrangements that might entrench division or undermine the Palestinian national will, while also affirming that strengthening national unity, achieving internal cohesion, and dealing responsibly with various challenges, constitutes a high national priority at this stage.
