Khaberni - His Majesty King Abdullah II met on Monday with members of the Permanent Office of the House of Representatives, which includes the speaker of the House, his deputies, and his assistants.
During a meeting at Al Husseiniya Palace, His Majesty stressed the importance of continuing to work on developing the mechanisms of party work to serve the public interest and enhance citizens' confidence.
His Majesty the King pointed out the necessity of ongoing coordination between the House of Representatives, the government, and the Senate regarding national priorities in the upcoming period.
The meeting discussed the overall situation in the region, and the efforts of the Kingdom and its partners to restore stability.
For his part, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mazen Al-Qadi, affirmed that serving Jordanian men and women is at the heart of parliamentary work, noting the House's commitment to fully exercising its legislative and supervisory role.
Members of the Permanent Office of the House of Representatives touched on the most prominent local issues of priority during the upcoming period, which will be addressed in cooperation with the Senate and the government.
The meeting was attended by the Chief of the Royal Hashemite Court, Youssef Hassan Al-Issawi, and the Director of His Majesty the King's Office, Alaa Al-Batayneh.
