Eating this fruit in the morning improves mood strengthens the heart and provides energy

Khaberni -  Bananas are not just a fruit for breakfast, but are known for their immediate ability to improve mood and energy thanks to their easy peeling, vibrant color, and richness in vitamins, making them an ideal option for snacks or on the go.

Gastrointestinal expert Nishtha Patel explained to the Mirror website: "Many people notice that eating bananas quickly improves their mood, as they contain natural carbohydrates that provide a quick supply of glucose to the brain, which relies on it for energy, enhancing attention and emotional stability within minutes."

Bananas are also rich in fiber and B vitamins, which slow down sugar absorption and prevent later energy dips.

Improving bowel movement and heart health

The fiber content in bananas depends on the ripeness of the fruit, containing 3 to 5 grams of it, which improves bowel movement. Also, its high potassium content helps expel sodium and relax blood vessels, providing a healthy morning boost to the heart and muscles.
Enhancing happiness hormones

Bananas are rich in vitamin B6 and tryptophan, which play an important role in the production of serotonin and dopamine, hormones associated with mood improvement, emotion regulation, and sleep. Patel says: “Even small amounts of tryptophan in bananas can make a noticeable difference when tired, hungry, or stressed.”
Supporting immunity and fitness

Bananas also contain vitamin C, antioxidants, and manganese, which enhance the immune system, and potassium and manganese help prevent cramps and support recovery after exercise, making it an ideal meal before or after physical activity.

Tips when choosing

The expert warned against overeating bananas for people with kidney issues or those taking medications affecting potassium levels. Moreover, very ripe bananas can cause headaches in some individuals due to their content of tyramine, therefore it is advisable to choose less ripe bananas when needed.
