Khaberni - On early Monday morning, the Eastern Military Region thwarted a large drug smuggling attempt within its territory, loaded by balloons guided by advanced electronic devices.
The attempt was detected by border guard units who dealt with it, brought it down along with its load inside Jordanian territory, in coordination with security agencies and the Drug Enforcement Administration. The seized items were transferred to the relevant authorities for necessary actions.
