Mazloum Abdi, the commander of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), said that the current war was forced upon his forces and was planned by several parties.
Abdi added that the withdrawal of his forces from Deir ez-Zor and Raqqa was to protect lives and prevent the outbreak of a civil war, noting that his forces suffered heavy casualties, and affirmed their commitment to defending their gains until the end.
