The Call of the Peace Council A calm Jordanian reading governed by national constants with Palestine at the heart of the stanc
Author: المحامي حسام حسين الخصاونة

Talking about His Majesty's invitation to join the special Peace Council for the Gaza Strip calls for a cautious political reading that stems from the Jordanian state's constants and its known role towards Palestine.

Jordan was never far from Palestine and never needed new councils or frameworks to affirm its steady supporting stance of Palestinian rights and its rejection of any solutions at their expense or the expense of the Palestinians.

His Majesty's regional and international standing was built on active political presence, balanced and reliable relationships woven by Jordanian diplomacy, which made Jordan's voice heard and respected in various international forums.

During the aggression on Gaza, and before it, Jordan, both leadership and people, demonstrated the sincerity of this stance, far from mere slogans.

Jordan was never absent from the peace equation, but has always been actively involved within the clear frameworks governed by international legitimacy, in a manner that preserves the essence of the Palestinian cause without roles or commitments inconsistent with its position and capabilities.

His Majesty was one of the first leaders who constantly reminded of the Palestinian cause and defended it with steadfastness and clarity on all international platforms.

The invitation reflects an appreciation for Jordan's role but requires caution and the study of any proposed framework in alignment with the national constants and the supreme interest.

Jordan is a state of institutions and measures its stances with the mind of the state, and any potential role will be calculated to maintain constants, including rejection of displacement and resettlement, and adherence to a fair solution based on international legitimacy.

Jordan, under its Hashemite leadership and with the strength of its diplomacy, will remain steadfastly alongside Palestine.
