Khaberni - On Sunday, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mazen Al-Qadi, received the Hungarian Ambassador Peter Jakab, and discussed a number of issues of mutual interest, especially the joint parliamentary relations, in the presence of the Deputy Speaker of the House, Khamees Atiyah.
Al-Qadi emphasized the importance of translating the outcomes of His Majesty King Abdullah II's visit to Hungary in mid-October, and highlighted the significant role of friendship committees in building bridges of cooperation between the two countries.
Al-Qadi stressed the commitment to enhance and develop mutual relations to benefit both peoples and countries, especially in the fields of trade exchange, investment, education, and culture.
Al-Qadi expressed his gratitude and appreciation for Hungary’s supportive stances towards Jordan, and expressed his aspiration to increase the scholarships offered to Jordanian students in Hungarian universities, particularly in the technical field.
For his part, Jakab praised the Jordanian role under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II, in addressing regional issues by striving towards achieving peace and stability and always advocating for peaceful solutions to various crises.
Jakab affirmed the importance of enhancing joint parliamentary cooperation, extending an invitation to Al-Qadi from the President of the National Assembly to visit the Hungarian Parliament.
