Khaberni - Al Hashimiya New Municipality announced the completion of the "Digital Simulation of Water Paths and Culvert Inventory" project using Geographic Information Systems (GIS), a move aimed at updating infrastructure and adopting systematic planning based institutional work.
The mayor, Hussein Qassem Bolad, emphasized the importance of this professional work carried out by the technical staff led by Engineer Mohamed Al-Hashki from the GIS department, in field cooperation with Engineer Adnan Al-Ziyoud and Engineer Ibrahim Waynak from the Maintenance and Public Works department.
Key Outputs of the Project:
The municipality stated that among the key outputs of the project are:
* Inventory and treatment of culverts:
Documenting and inventorying all sites that require reinforcement or immediate maintenance to ensure their high readiness.
* Study of proposed culverts:
Identifying strategic locations to build new culverts based on studying the surface flow paths to ensure the sustainability of engineering solutions.
* Future Solutions:
Efforts are ongoing to develop comprehensive engineering plans to radically solve the problems of water gatherings (pools) in low-lying areas.
This project marks a turning point in the management of the stormwater drainage network, contributing to providing a safe and sustainable environment for the residents of Al Hashimiya district.
