Khaberni - The Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs and Holy Places, on Sunday, called on those registered and born from April 1 to December 31, 1954, to review the Awqaf directorates to receive their permits, from Monday until Wednesday evening.
The ministry emphasized the importance of adhering to the health conditions specified by the Saudi authorities and to review the approved health centers to obtain a health certificate before receiving the permit.
The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah requires bringing a certificate of being free from diseases, including failure of major organs (heart, lungs, liver, or kidneys), severe neurological and psychiatric diseases that impair cognition or are accompanied by severe physical disabilities, senility associated with dementia, and pregnancy in the last two months or at any stage if it is risky, in addition to active cancer requiring chemotherapy, biological or radiation treatment, and active infectious diseases that affect public health, such as open tuberculosis (pulmonary TB).
The ministry had adopted the selection of pilgrims according to the criterion of older age, which included those born on March 31, 1954, and earlier, while the lottery selected 1,300 pilgrims who had registered on the website, born in 1980 and earlier, from among about 28,000 citizens who applied for registration.
The Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs and Holy Places, Muhammad Al-Khalaileh, announced that Jordan's quota for the upcoming Hajj season is 8,000 pilgrims, in addition to 4,500 pilgrims from the 1948 Arabs.
