Egypt Death of the Artist Mahmoud Bashir After a Battle with Illness

Khaberni - The Egyptian artist Mahmoud Bashir passed away today after a battle with illness.

The artist Mounir Makram, a member of the Actors' Syndicate, announced the death on his Facebook page and posted a picture of the late artist commenting: "Eternal rest grant unto him, my brother and friend artist Mahmoud Bashir after a battle with illness."

The artist Mahmoud Bashir had suffered from a health setback that resulted in his transfer to the intensive care unit of one of the major hospitals in Cairo in the recent hours, after his health suddenly deteriorated.

The late was suffering from pneumonia and was currently on ventilators, and his condition was "very difficult."

Mahmoud Bashir was an Egyptian actor, born in 1950. Among his most famous works are the series "I Will Not Live in My Father's Robe" in 1996, "Morning and Evening Talk" in 2001, "The Night and Its End" in 2003, "Abbas Al Abiad In the Black Day" in 2004, and "Is This What Happened" in 2019, while his last artistic work was the series "In a Day and a Night" in 2021.
