Khaberni - King Abdullah II received the Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, today, Sunday, at Al Husseiniya Palace.
The meeting, attended by Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II, Crown Prince, focused on the solid fraternal relations between Jordan and the State of Qatar and mechanisms for expanding cooperation in various fields, especially through the joint Jordanian-Qatari High Committee.
The meeting also covered the overall developments in the region, and the importance of continuing coordination and consultation to serve the mutual interests, ensure the respect of the sovereignty of Arab states, and achieve stability in the region.
His Majesty the King praised Qatar's mediation efforts to cease fire in Gaza, stressing the necessity of ensuring the implementation of all phases of the war termination agreement, and warning of the dangers of unilateral actions in the West Bank.
The meeting was attended by Prime Minister Dr. Jaafar Hassan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi, Director of His Majesty’s office, Engineer Alaa Batayneh, Jordan’s Ambassador to Qatar Zaid Lozi, Qatari Ambassador in Amman Sheikh Saud bin Nasser Al Thani, and the accompanying delegation of the guest.
