Amman Arab University Organizes a Field Visit to the Clothes Bank to Promote Volunteer Work

Khaberni  - In its endeavor to instill volunteer work and social responsibility values among its students, Amman Arab University's Student Affairs Deanship/Student Counseling Department, in collaboration with the Business College, organized a field visit to the Hashemite Jordanian Charity Organization – Clothes Bank, with the participation of students from the Volunteer Club across various university colleges.

On this occasion, Dr. Mohammad Bin Tareef, the Dean of Student Affairs, emphasized that the deanship pays great attention to involving students in volunteer and community activities, due to their positive impact on developing initiative and teamwork, honing students' personalities, and enhancing their awareness of the importance of community service and solidifying concepts of social responsibility.

Professor Tahani Dams, from the volunteering section of the Hashemite Jordanian Charity Organization – Charitable Clothes Bank, welcomed the visit of Amman Arab University students, praising the university's role in promoting a culture of volunteer work and social responsibility among students. She explained that volunteers sort and classify clothes according to type, season, and quality to ensure efficient distribution to needy families across different provinces of the kingdom, through the main showrooms in Amman and Karak, in addition to mobile showrooms. She also highlighted the importance of partnering with educational institutions to maximize the impact of volunteer work, expressing her gratitude to the university and the participating students for this humanitarian initiative.

This visit aligns with Amman Arab University's vision of preparing a conscious and responsible generation, capable of effectively contributing to community service, and establishing humanitarian and volunteer work as an integral part of building a well-rounded university character. The university is keen to support initiatives that bring together students from different specializations in meaningful activities that enhance the values of giving and belonging. At the end of the visit, the participating students expressed their appreciation and happiness to participate in this humanitarian initiative, emphasizing the necessity to continue such programs that enhance the spirit of cooperation and giving, and embody the university's mission in serving the community and enhancing its values.
