Khaberni - The total value of public debt on the government rose to about 47.446 billion dinars, according to statistics from November of last year, and the debt ratio increased to 108.8%, compared to 108.4% at the end of October 2025, according to the latest data published on the Ministry of Finance website.
In detail, the net government debt balance, after excluding the holdings of the Social Security Investment Fund, reaches 78.3% of the Gross Domestic Product, up from 77.5% during the same period of 2024.
The net government debt balance is defined as the total government deposits balance, and the deposits of independent units.
According to the debt distribution structure, excluding the balance held by the Social Security Investment Fund, the majority of loans and debts are from external sources, with a value of about 20.191 billion dinars. In contrast, the value of domestic debts by the end of last November reached about 16.080 billion dinars.
As for the holdings of the Social Security Investment Fund, which forms part of the total public debt, it amounts to 11.176 billion dinars, constituting about 25.6% ratio to the Gross Domestic Product, according to data from the Ministry of Finance.
The value of public debt service in 11 months of the year 2025, was about 4.990 billion dinars, distributed as about 2.893 billion dinars in installments, while the remaining amount of 2.097 billion dinars went to paying the interest during this period.
