Khaberni - Egyptian artist Essam Omar has sparked a wave of controversy and questions on social media after he posted a photo together with artist Jihan Al-Shamashargi, accompanied by a striking comment, which led some followers to speculate about an official relationship between the two.

Essam Omar said on his official Instagram account: "Praise be to Allah by whose grace good things happen," and accompanied the comment with a photo in which he appeared wearing a formal suit, while Jihan Al-Shamashargi appeared in an elegant dress, which bolstered from theories of their connection, before some followers suggested that the scene could be from the behind-the-scenes of their new series "Hero of the World," with no official comment issued to confirm or deny these speculations.

The duo stars in the series "Hero of the World," which belongs to the action and thriller genre, where Essam Omar portrays a boxer named "Salah," who faces harsh life crises that push him to work as a bodyguard, before circumstances bring him together with the character Dunia, played by Jihan Al-Shamashargi, a girl who appears to come from a wealthy family, but whose life hides a complex reality due to debts and her father's disappearance.


The events accelerate when Dunia seeks Salah's help to recover her father's inheritance, starting a journey filled with chases and dangers, where excitement mixes with comedy, in confrontation with the burned betting king, portrayed by artist Fathy Abdel Wahab.

The series stars Essam Omar, Jihan Al-Shamashargi, Fathy Abdel Wahab, Mohamed Lotfy, Ahmed Abdel Hamid, and Adam Al-Nahas. It is written by Hany Sarhan and directed by Essam Abdel Hamid.

This controversy coincides with the continuous successes achieved by Essam Omar, after his prominence in the Ramadan 2025 drama season through the series "Half the People Named Mohamed," a social work of 15 episodes, produced by Amir Showqi and directed by Abdelaziz Al-Najjar.

Moreover, Omar made a notable presence in the previous Ramadan race through the series "Compulsory Path," starring alongside Ahmad Dash, Sabreen, Basma, Mayar Al-Ghaiti, Jihad Hossam El Din, and Yasmina Al Abd.

On the cinema front, Essam Omar continues to shoot his scenes in the film "Siko Siko," participating with Taha Desouky, along with Basem Samra, Ali Sobhy, Khaled El Sawy, Tara Emad, and Diana Hesham. It is written by Mohamed El-Dabaah and directed by Omar El-Mohandis, in preparation for its release in the upcoming period.
