Khaberni - Content creator and weight loss coach Hailig revealed her personal experience in losing about 45 kilograms over roughly 18 months, stating that the secret did not lie in strict diets or exhausting exercises, but in simple daily habits that she described as ordinary or even "naïve", yet they were crucial in achieving sustainable results.
In a recent post on her Instagram account, Hailig clarified that losing weight doesn't always mean putting in more effort, but sometimes simplifying things and committing to habits that can be applied daily without pressure, emphasizing that many start with enthusiasm and strict plans, but quickly become exhausted because they overlook the power of sustainable habits in daily life.
The first habit
She pointed out that the first of these habits is walking, describing it as one of the most underappreciated forms of exercise, where she would walk for between 30 to 45 minutes daily, preferably outdoors, due to its positive impact on mobility and mental state. She also noted that using a weighted vest or listening to a podcast could make the experience more effective and enjoyable.
The second habit
It was drinking water, where she considered that hydration was a turning point in her journey, explaining that she drinks daily an amount equivalent to half her body weight in ounces, which helped her reduce intense food cravings and boost energy levels, with the addition of electrolytes once daily.
The third habit
Hailig emphasized the importance of protein, noting that she ensures to consume at least 100 grams daily, which helped her feel full for longer periods, support muscle building, and thereby enhance fat burning, describing this step as simple and uncomplicated.
The fourth habit
She also discussed mindful mornings as a fourth habit, explaining that starting the day with clear intentions, whether through exercise, prayer, or just mindfulness, made a significant difference.
She adopted the rule of not using the phone during the first 30 minutes of waking up, assuring that adhering to this for just two weeks reduces stress, and improves sleep, focus, and mental clarity.
The fifth habit
Fiber, where she followed an easy rule of consuming three types of vegetables daily, due to the role of fiber in improving digestion, increasing the feeling of fullness, and better handling carbs, which she described as reducing the anxiety associated with the scale.
Hailig concluded her experience by affirming that weight loss does not have to be extreme to be effective, emphasizing that simple habits, when adhered to daily, are capable of making significant and sustainable changes over the long term.
