Khaberni - The spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate confirmed that the investigative team formed to look into the journalist assault incident in Zarqa city yesterday has successfully identified the assailants and arrested them.
Detailing further, the spokesperson said that one of the journalists was hospitalized last evening after being attacked with blunt objects (sticks) in front of his home in Zarqa city (as seen in a video circulated about the incident yesterday), and he is still under treatment.
The spokesperson also confirmed that immediately upon receiving the report, a special investigative team was formed to continue the investigations into the case. Over the past 24 hours, the team has been collecting information from the crime scene, eventually narrowing down the suspects to two individuals, whose whereabouts were traced and who were subsequently arrested. Investigations with them have begun to prepare them for prosecution.
