A Revolution in Artificial Intelligence Two Robots Speak for Two Hours Without Human Intervention

Khaberni - Realbotix, a company that produces humanoid robots, put on a unique display at CES 2026, where the exhibition platform saw the first fully autonomous and unscripted conversation between two robots, operating with embedded artificial intelligence on their devices without relying on any cloud processing.

The display included a continuous dialogue between the company's robots, Aria and David, which lasted for more than two hours in real-time, without human intervention or a pre-written scenario, marking a qualitative step towards what the company calls "material artificial intelligence", which allows robots to perceive, respond, and adapt to each other in a lively and natural manner.

Andrew Keigwell, the CEO of Realbotix, confirmed that this experiment serves as practical proof of their robots' ability to interact freely with each other, noting that the experiment lasted for more than two hours during which the robots' responses were fully tested in a real environment in front of the audience, according to interestingengineering.

The conversation demonstrated the multilingual capabilities of the robots, as the dialogue included the use of English, Spanish, French, and German, reflecting the flexibility of the physically embodied AI platform in processing different languages and the ability to interact without the need for a specific scenario.

Some phrases in the dialogue came spontaneously, like what one of the robots said: "No coffee jitters, no awkward pauses, just silicon charisma", which was evident from the flow of the conversation itself and not from a pre-prepared text.

Despite the dialogue lasting for two hours, observers noted some pauses and irregularities in the rhythm of the speech, reflecting the nature of a real-life experiment away from pre-designed theatrical displays.

Visually and expressively, the performance of the robots remained limited compared to other robot shows like Amica, described by the audience as closer to "rubber dolls equipped with loudspeakers".

In addition to the conversation between the robots, the company presented an additional display focusing on human interaction, where a third robot used a patented vision system embedded in its eyes to recognize attendees and track their movements, read vocal signals and facial expressions to infer emotional states, reflecting the company's advances in visual perception and physically embodied social interaction.

Realbotix stated that the aim of these displays is to demonstrate the capabilities of its robots in realistic interaction, away from pre-designed scripts and remote control, reflecting how autonomous systems can act freely in a public environment over an extended period.

The CES 2026 presentation provides the company with an opportunity to showcase its technologies in front of investors, industry leaders, and the media, emphasizing that its American-made robots are designed for entertainment, customer service, and companionship, and are based on patent-protected technologies that enable them to express, move, see, and interact socially in a more natural way.
