Khaberni - A military official confirmed to "NewsNation" the reduction of the threat level at the American Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar, which hosts a significant part of the Central Command "CENTCOM".
This comes at a time when officials indicated the absence of imminent plans for an American attack on Iran, according to "The Hill".
It is recalled that the United States, earlier this week, evacuated forces from Al Udeid and other bases in the Middle East, fearing they could be targets of Iranian retaliatory attacks, should Washington strike.
The official clarified that the soldiers who had been evacuated from Al Udeid have begun returning to the base. "The New York Times" was the first to report the reduction of the threat level.
In related context, the U.S. Secret Service said it was aware of images broadcasted by Iranian state television following an assassination attempt on President Donald Trump in Butler, which included a Farsi phrase saying: "This time the bullet won't miss you".
The statement from the agency mentioned that "the Secret Service is aware of this picture, and due to operational security considerations, we do not discuss preventive intelligence matters".
This is considered the strongest direct threat from Iranian entities against the American President, while the speaker of the Iranian parliament and other officials have vowed to respond to the United States in various ways, after any attack.
It appeared that Trump stepped back from taking military action against Iran, after having promised earlier this week to anti-Iran forces that "help is coming" and warned Iran against killing protesters, in warnings that observers said were ignored by the Iranian leadership.
