Khaberni - Artist Ahmed Thabet issued a plea for help against a hospital, accusing it of neglect in treating his mother, and calling for officials to save his mother from the severe crisis she is enduring due to negligence in her care.
Ahmed Thabet wrote on his personal Facebook account, posting a plea saying: "There's a disaster happening with my mom at a hospital in Mohandeseen, Giza, there are no nurses and they call my mom crazy, and leave my mom all night without changing her, with urine all over her all night, and the doctor ties her hands right and left like criminals, and the doctor would leave me and go and she had a nervous breakdown."
Ahmed Thabet: I will not give up on my mother's rights
Ahmed Thabet urgently called on the relevant authorities to intervene in what he described as a painful human incident, confirming that his mother, an elderly lady aged 86, is detained in the hospital without receiving the necessary medical care, and said: "My mother is 86 years old, now we've been standing for 3 hours, and till now the nursing staff do not respond to us, and she is lying there like this, I swear by God I will not give up your rights till doomsday, anyone who can help please contact me."
Thabet demanded an immediate investigation into the incident, holding those responsible accountable for this neglect, and ensuring the necessary medical and humane care for the lady immediately, respecting the right of patients to humane treatment guaranteed by the constitution and the law.
Thabet deletes the post
Thabet surprised his followers by deleting his post, then announcing his reconciliation with the hospital to allow her to be discharged.
Thabet said he approached the competent authorities to complete the reconciliation procedures with the hospital, confirming that Dr. Ashraf Zaki and director Khaled Jalal were in constant contact with him during that period.
He added: "I had to make the reconciliation so that my mom could be discharged from the hospital, because otherwise, she wouldn't have been able to leave and continue her treatment elsewhere, especially since she completely lost trust, asking his fans and loved ones to pray for his mother's swift recovery."
It is worth mentioning that Ahmed Thabet has participated in several works including the movie "Taj" with Tamer Hosni, and the series "Me and Her" with Ahmed Hatem and Hana El Zahed, and the movie "Moussa" with Karim Mahmoud Abdel Aziz, and the series "The Choice" with Amir Karara, among other cinematic and dramatic works.
