Khaberni - Agriculture Minister, Saieb Khreisat, said on Saturday that larger quantities of imported olive oil will be provided in the markets this week, as shipments continue to arrive sequentially.
Khreisat added that licenses were granted for the import of 7 to 8 thousand tons to meet the market's needs for olive oil, noting that the imported quantities started arriving at the markets about 10 days ago, according to Al Mamlaka.
He pointed out that the sources of imported oil include countries such as Tunisia, Spain, Greece, and Turkey, confirming that the prices of imported olive oil were suitable for consumers.
Khreisat noted that imported olive oil is currently available in civil and military consumption institutions.
