Department of Architecture at Amman Arab University Conducts a Field Visit to the Tourist Resort Project Site in the Dead Sea

Khaberni - In realization of the vision and mission of Amman Arab University, and stemming from its commitment to reinforcing the integration between theoretical and practical aspects, the Department of Architecture conducted a field visit for third-year students to the intended project site in the Zarqa area – Dead Sea, as part of the requirements of the Design Course (4), under the supervision of Dr. Anwar Al-Assaf, Dean of the College of Engineering, Dr. Reham Al-Asmar, Dr. Kamal Haddad, Engineer Ola Habash, and Engineer Farah Rommaneh, faculty members at the college. Dr. Musa Al-Qa'idah, a faculty member from the College of Law, also participated in the visit, aiming to enhance the integrative dimension between academic disciplines..

The visit aimed to enable students to study the site comprehensively, analyze its natural and urban characteristics, observe the surrounding environmental influences, contributing to the creation of a conscious architectural perception that responds to the specificity of the place and its context, and subsequently translates into integrated design proposals to be presented at the end of April, with the participation of (15) female students of the third-year level. The field tour included a visit to one of the projects implemented in the area, where the students were introduced to the project's components, facilities, empty spaces, execution mechanisms, and architectural treatments, thus enriching their practical experience and supporting their ability to draw upon similar design solutions in terms of architectural concept and quality of spatial utilization..

This visit is part of a series of field activities organized by the Department of Architecture in the College of Engineering, affirming Amman Arab University's commitment to preparing architectural engineers who possess analytical and design tools, capable of linking academic knowledge with the practical realities required, in line with market aspirations and enhancing the quality of educational outcomes..
