Khaberni - US Energy Secretary Chris Wright said that Washington is ready to sell Venezuelan oil at $45 per barrel, while Brent crude futures closed on Friday at $64.13.
Reuters quoted Wright saying: "Now we can sell this oil today... We will sell it at $45 a barrel."
Wright added that the United States retains the revenues from the sale of Venezuelan oil in accounts in Qatar that are owned by the United States.
US President Donald Trump had earlier promised that the oil the US received from Caracas would be sold at market prices.
According to Reuters, Brent crude futures closed on Friday at $64.13 per barrel.
