Khaberni - The British authorities detained a protester who climbed the building of the Iranian embassy in London and removed the flag raised on its roof, according to the police announced on Friday.
The police said in a post on site X "During the demonstration that took place this evening in front of the Iranian embassy, a protester unlawfully entered private property, climbed several balconies to reach the roof, and removed a flag."
On January 10th, another protester removed the Iranian flag from the facade of the embassy building, and replaced it with a pre-Islamic Revolution flag.
The demonstration on Friday saw the security forces being pelted with various objects resulting in injuries among them, according to the police.
Last week, the police announced the reinforcement of their forces around the Iranian embassy in London.
This comes against the backdrop of the protests that broke out in Iran on December 28th, which resulted, according to the Norway-based organization "Iran Human Rights," in the death of 3428 protesters by security forces.
