Khaberni - The latest computer simulation readings indicate that the kingdom will be affected by a second-degree (ordinary) low-pressure system on Sunday, 18/1/2026, with temperatures dropping, God willing, and rainfall occurring intermittently, starting from the north extending to the central and some southern and eastern areas, with rains being heavy at times, leading to valley flow and water pooling.
Very cold weather will prevail on Saturday morning in general with the possibility of frost forming on some of the high mountain peaks and parts of the eastern plains and desert, and during the rest of the day, temperatures will be around their average for this time of the year. The weather will be relatively to cold with low clouds appearing in the afternoon, and the winds will be light in speed and variable in direction.
During the night hours of Saturday/Sunday, the weather will be generally cold and very cold in the desert and plains areas, and the amount of low clouds in the northern areas may lead to scattered rain showers, with winds being light in speed and variable in direction.
By the will of God, it is expected that the kingdom will be affected by a second-degree (ordinary) low pressure on Sunday. The temperatures will drop during the day and become lower than the averages for this time of the year. The weather will be variable between partly cloudy to cloudy with rainfall occurring in periods starting from the northern areas extending to the central and eastern areas, and later in the afternoon and evening reaching parts of the southern regions, with the rains being heavy at times especially in the north and central parts of the kingdom leading to valley and stream flows and the formation of water pools, with winds being moderate westerly and occasionally picking up speed after noon.
During the evening and night hours of Sunday/Monday, the weather will be generally cold and variable from partly cloudy to cloudy, with rain falling intermittently in several parts of the kingdom. Low clouds grazing the ground may cause dense fog in many of the mountainous elevations and main roads including the Irbid – Amman road, the road leading to Queen Alia International Airport, and parts of the desert road, causing a significant reduction in horizontal visibility that may reach the point of nonexistence, with moderate speed westward winds.
Monday 19-1-2026: Cold weather with fog over the mountains and limited chances of rain precede the extension of the Siberian high at night.
The temperatures will remain below the average for this time of the year during Monday daytime. The weather will be generally cold with dense fog forming in the morning hours over the high mountainous elevations, and intermittent showers of rain are likely in various areas, with moderate speed westerly direction winds.
During the night hours of Monday/Tuesday, the kingdom will be affected by the extension of the cold Siberian high, making the weather lean towards stability and the cloud amounts decrease to become clear skies in most areas and the winds become calmer. The minimum temperatures will noticeably decrease to range between 2 to 4 degrees Celsius, while being around to below zero Celsius in the desert and eastern plains areas.
Accordingly, the formation of frost is expected in wide areas of the kingdom, including agricultural lands, with the exclusion of the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba areas.
