A Simple and Effective Way to Improve Endurance During Exercise

Khaberni - A study conducted by an international group of researchers shows that consuming caffeine before training enhances endurance capabilities in athletes, especially in conditions of oxygen deficiency.

The study included 15 young athletes who participate in team sports. On separate days, they underwent a test that included a series of speed races in conditions of moderate hypoxia - low oxygen levels similar to those found at high altitudes, and the participants were divided into two groups: a group that received caffeine supplements one hour before the test, at a dose equivalent to 6 mg per kilogram of body weight, and another that did not receive these supplements.

The results showed that the athletes who took the caffeine supplements performed better overall, and their endurance abilities improved by approximately 5%. In the second half of the exercise period, their rates of fatigue and shortness of breath were lower, despite increased blood lactate levels.

The researchers indicate that this effect is not only related to physiological stimulation, but also to the influence of caffeine on the sensation of effort. They believe that moderate doses of caffeine may be an effective and affordable way to improve endurance and performance in athletes, especially in challenging matches and in conditions of reduced oxygen in the air.
