Khaberni - The total visits to tourist sites from January 1–14 reached 76,054 visits, the majority of which were to the city of Petra, amounting to 15,244 visits, according to the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities.
According to the data, foreign visitors constituted 75% of the total number of visitors, Jordanians 20%, while Arabs made up 5%.
Following the city of Petra was the Jordan Museum with 11,812 visits, then the city of Jerash with 9,825 visits, and the remaining number were distributed among other tourist sites.
The Ministry's data noted that the number of visits signifies repeated visits to other tourist sites by international and local visitors alike.
The tourism sector in Jordan recorded a positive performance in 2025, with the number of visitors rising to 7.04 million, and tourism revenue achieving a growth of 7.6% during the year 2025, reaching 5,523 million dinars.
The number of participants in the "Our Jordan is Heaven" program reached 161 thousand participants, while the unified ticket saw a significant increase in demand, alongside the classification of 276 new tourist facilities and licensing of 48 tourist guides.
