Jordan High school students conclude their exams on Saturday and results to be announced in February

Khaberni - The general secondary certificate students "Tawjihi" conclude their final exams for the supplementary session on Saturday in the subject of Jordanian history, for all academic and vocational branches.

The Ministry of Education stated that the exam session will begin at eleven in the morning, noting that the exams have been running smoothly and as planned since its start on December 27.

The ministry expects to announce the "Tawjihi" results in the first half of February, confirming that the results announcement could take three to four weeks from the last exam.

Director of the Examinations Department at the ministry, Mohammad Shahadeh, said that the ministry is implementing a comprehensive plan that is based on precision and high methodology in marking the general secondary certificate exams "Tawjihi", aiming for absolute accuracy in results extraction, asserting that the error rate in marking is zero percent.

He added in a previous statement to "Al-Mamlaka" that the marking committees in the Examinations Department have completed marking the notebooks for a number of subjects, including mathematics, confirming that marking of other subjects is still ongoing.

Shahadeh explained that deriving the final results for students requires a lot of time and effort after the completion of marking, ensuring the rights of the students, noting that the answer papers go through a series of stages by specialized committees in the administration before the final results extraction, reaching up to 27 stages, including inspection, auditing, verification, and others to ensure paragraph correction and score aggregation both on paper and electronically.

He clarified that the optical scanner correction and its verification are conducted immediately and through several phases, which may exceed 12 stages, ensuring the accuracy of results at 100%, pointing out that the administrative and technical work teams in the Examinations Department are making great efforts to extract results according to the ministry's plan, confirming that the ministry will not set a date for announcing the results until completing all inspection, verification and score entry procedures before the final extraction.

Ministry spokesperson Mahmoud Hayasat mentioned that the optical scanner does not correct the students' answers, but reads them, stating that there are auditing and inspection committees for each exam paper, and that the error rate is zero, explaining that the optical scanner tracks students' answers and codes within a database that includes the student's registration number and subject code.

He continued that the students' answers are being corrected by placing the answer sheets on the optical scanner, noting that the reading accuracy is 100%.

The Ministry of Education said that the majority of violations and penalties against participants in the general secondary certificate exams "Tawjihi", totaling 131,381 participants, are related to attempts to bring or use communication devices and electronic tools inside the exam halls.

The ministry, through Hayasat, added that the exam committees recorded 242 violations during seven exam sessions since the start of the exams on December 27.
