Chairman of the Gaza Committee 7 Years for Reconstruction and the Rubble Will Be Moved to the Sea

Khaberni - Ali Shaath, who will chair the committee that will manage the Gaza Strip, said in a radio interview this morning that he expects the reconstruction of the sector to take seven years. He added that there is an ambitious plan that includes transferring the war rubble to the sea to increase the area of the sector.

Shaath explained in the interview that he believes the committee's powers include the entire Gaza Strip, and that these powers will increase as Israel completes its withdrawal in the second phase.

He added that dealing with the armed groups in Gaza is not the responsibility of the committee he will chair, and that this matter is under the jurisdiction of the international force and the Peace Council. He also referred to the possibility of Israel violating the agreement.

Meanwhile, Trump's envoy Weitkoff referred to the transition to the second phase of the Gaza agreement, saying: "Jared Kushner and I had a FaceTime conversation today with 14 members of the technocrat committee. We have managed to form a new government that will replace Hamas."

Earlier this week, Trump revealed that he had selected the members of the Peace Council. "These are the most important leaders of the most important countries," he told reporters from his plane before taking off from Florida to Washington.

Nikolai Mladenov, former Bulgarian Defense Minister, is expected to chair the council. This month, Mladenov met with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and other senior Israeli officials to discuss the next stage of Trump's 20-item plan.

During the meeting, Netanyahu emphasized the necessity of disarming Hamas and stripping the Gaza Strip of weapons in accordance with the terms of the plan.

According to the plan, an "international stabilization force" will be established in cooperation with the United States, Arab countries, and other nations. This force aims to train Palestinian police forces in Gaza, cooperate with them, and secure the borders.
