Khaberni - The Israeli Channel 7 revealed the theft by Israeli soldiers of 250 goats from Syrian territory and their transportation to settlements in the West Bank.
The Hebrew channel described the incident on the border with Syria as "exceptional", stating that Israeli soldiers stole a flock including 250 goats from inside Syrian territory and transported it by trucks to several farms in the settlements.
The channel clarified that the theft from Syrian territory was carried out about two weeks ago, after calling trucks to steal the flock, before a local farmer (in Israel) noticed dozens of goats walking on a main road in the early hours and reported it to the relevant authorities.
The channel did not specify the exact location from which the flock was stolen inside Syrian territory, nor have the Syrian authorities filed any reports on this matter until Thursday evening.
The channel claimed that the military police took punitive measures against those involved, including firing the crew's leader from his position, giving a leadership note to the squad leader, and suspending the crew's activities entirely for an extended period.
The military police also began investigating the circumstances of the incident, according to Channel 7.
