Khaberni - Continuing the efforts of the Public Corporation for Food and Drug in monitoring the issue of contamination in Nestle's infant milk products for children under one year of age, through tracking and studying the supply chains for the contaminating substance that enters some of Nestle's infant milk compositions, and in cooperation with Nestle, a precautionary decision to withdraw lots of S-26 AR GOLD infant milk was made, which has been executed over the past two days, by a proactive decision and coordination with the manufacturing company that is conducting this voluntary recall from pharmacies in coordination with the inspection and surveillance teams of the corporation.
The corporation confirmed that the below-mentioned lots affected by the recall comply with the approved technical base for testing infant milk for children under one year of age, and are in line with international legislation in this regard, but as a precautionary measure to ensure and verify their safety, and for the purpose of conducting additional tests for all the lots, in cooperation with the manufacturing company for this purpose.
This verification has been ongoing since Nestle globally notified about this matter, and includes the corporation conducting additional tests for verification purposes for all types of Nestle's milk present in pharmacies. As a precaution, the corporation urges citizens to stop using any of the lots below and return them to their place of purchase until all additional tests are completed.
