Khaberni - Shaheen gas station, located in the southern region of the Hebron city, is experiencing noticeable congestion and long queues of citizens waiting to fill their gas cylinders after they have run out at their homes.
Citizens reported that waiting hours have extended for long periods due to increasing demand and limited available quantities, causing anxiety, especially as families primarily rely on cooking gas for their daily needs and for heating amid electric power cuts experienced in Hebron due to a severe cold wave hitting the country.
The reason for these queues is attributed to the scarcity of quantities reaching the Palestinian market from the Israeli supplier, which directly reflected on the filling stations, leading to bottlenecks in supply and a shortage in the market.
The authorities concerned are being urged to find urgent solutions to ensure regular gas supply and to avoid exacerbating the crisis, especially under the difficult living conditions the citizens are suffering from.
The Petroleum Authority announced last evening that quantities of gas had arrived in the Palestinian market, and gas tankers were seen at night on their way to gas filling stations in Hebron and Bethlehem.
