Mbappé Leaving Real Madrids Calculations Against Levante

Khaberni - The French newspaper "L'Equipe" confirmed that star Kylian Mbappé will miss the upcoming Levante match in the Spanish league, which is the second match for the team under the leadership of the new coach Alvaro Arbeloa.

The newspaper explained that the pain in Mbappé's left knee has decreased, but he is still not physically ready to play in a high-level match, prompting the club not to risk him.

"L'Equipe" pointed out that the French star's injury is causing widespread controversy, describing it as an "intermittent" injury; the pain emerged before the Manchester City match in the Champions League, but the player returned to participate in three consecutive matches during which he scored 4 goals, equalling Cristiano Ronaldo's historic record as the highest goal scorer in a single calendar year with "Real Madrid".
This physical strain for the record is what caused his absence at the start of 2026, where he missed a match against Real Betis Andalusia and the semi-final of the Supercup, then played only for 15 minutes in the final against Barcelona with no significant impact.
Mbappé's exclusion comes at a difficult time for Real Madrid, after losing two titles in one week (the Supercup and the Cup), and falling behind the leader Barcelona by 4 points in "La Liga".

Although "L'Equipe" mentioned that Mbappé does not regret putting pressure on himself to break the record, he has now decided not to take any further risks.
